Katavi Wildlife Camp is set back amongst the tress fringing the Kitasunga Plain. As the Katuma river is just close by a daily parade of animals pass in front of the camp on their way to drink.

The eight tents, luxurious in size and furnishings, are built on raised wooden platforms set back amongst the trees, providing both shade and camouflage with large verandas looking out across the plain. Each thatched roof tent has ensuite facilities with shower, flush toilet and basin.

Activities are based around 4x4 game drives in open vehciles with tiered seating and roof shading. Guided walks are available as well as fly-camping (pre-booked / minimum 2 nights).

This camp is set up to combine with the other Foxes Camps within the southern Selous and Ruaha; a Cessna 206 aircraft is used to link the camps two days per week (Monday and Thursday).

Tom Appleby, Foxes experienced zoologist and professional guide, hosts visitors whilst leading the game drives and walks. Specially adapted 4WD vehicles are used with two-way radios and tiered seating for visibility.
