We would not normally recommend one of these mainstream properties but it does have a great location and is the only lower cost option in this superb area of the park.

The rooms are clean and functional but sadly lacking in any attractive style or splendour. The main public areas are big and whilst the lodge designers have tried to add some quirkiness by incorporating some of the rock formations and trees it doesn't really inspire. Meals are served buffet style.

The highlight of Lobo lodge is the excellent views throughout including the swimming pool area which has a stunning setting looking down over the northern plains.

The game viewing and landscape in this area of the park is really top quality with the lower volume of visitors making it even more rewarding.

Lobo Lodge is a good lower cost base to see it all as long as you have realisitc expectations on where you are staying.
