Ndutu Safari Lodge is the perfect location for viewing the wildebeest migration during the months of Jan to March, but is also excellent during the shoulder months before and after this period. This is a great game viewing area and has been a favourite for wildlife photographers and film makers for years.

The original lodge was built in the 60's and has maintained it's charm as one of the most traditional safari lodges within the park. Since that time comfortable cottages have replaced the conventional tents but what has not changed is the wonderfully informal and intimate atmosphere.

The centre of the lodge is a large stone and thatched lounge, bar and dining area with expansive views out over the plains. The bar serves one of the coldest and most refreshing beers we have found anywhere whilst the food is very much aligned to home cooking using good local produce and plenty of it.

There is a fire-pit out in front of the bar / lounge area which is the perfect place to relax and chat with your guide and other guests before and after dinner.

Each of the thirty four stone and thatched cottages, which are built of local materials, has a private veranda facing Lake Ndutu. The rooms and facilities are comfortable, clean and unpretentious offering everything you need to feel relaxed and to enjoy your time here.

We have always really liked Ndutu Lodge as it has a real home away from home feeling. It is an excellent value for money lodge but if you want to stay here during the peak "migration" months then you do need to book well in advance.
