Singita Grumeti Reserves forms part of the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem. Bordering on the western corridor of Serengeti National Park, this exclusive concession spans a vast 350,000 acres of relatively untouched wilderness. The Great Migration traditionally moves through Grumeti Reserves between June and August ,however there is an abundance of wildlife all year round.

Sasakwa Lodge is built in the style of an Edwardian manor house.  Stone walls, deep verandas, high ceilings, stately furniture, silverware and ornamental pieces complete the colonial picture.

Each of the 9 air-conditioned cottages include a bedroom, en suite bathroom with bath and shower, lounge with fireplace, dressing area, a guest toilet, veranda with a Swarovski spotting scope and a heated infinity plunge pool. Wireless internet connection and international direct dial telephone are also available.

Activites here are based around morning and late afternoon game drives along with other options such as tennis, archery, lawn croquet, badminton, mountain biking and star gazing. Spa facilities are also available.

In addition for riding enthusiasts, there is an Equestrian Centre adjacent to Sasakwa Lodge which is home to sixteen horses. Experienced riders can enjoy out-rides on the Serengeti Plains. Tack is English style and guests have the choice of English or Western saddles.

Along with it's sister camps - Faru Faru Lodge and Sabora Tented Camp - these are without doubt the most luxurious safari accommodation anywhere in Tanzania. So much so, the lodge is the only lodge in Tanzania to make it to Conde Nast Traveller's Gold List 2011.  All three are fantastic whilst Faru Faru would probably be our favourite.
