Samaki Lodge is a boutique hotel located on the beautiful Uroa beach on the east coast of Zanzibar

Samaki Lodge comprises 18 rooms, elegantly and originally furnished while retaining the style of old Zanzibar. All have private bathrooms with shower and bidet, ceiling fan and air conditioning. Six of these are of a superior category on the first floor with LCD TV.

The zone "relax", above the main restaurant, offers an excellent view over the reef and on the Indian Ocean.

A private beach, equipped with sun beds, tables and umbrellas is ideal for sunbathing and relaxing under the hot African sun.

The area of sea that lies between the reef and the beach allows you to swim in a safe and wonderful surrounding of coral sand that stretches out into the turquoise waters.

During your stay you can swim, walk along the reef or enjoy some excellent snorkelling. Or go for long walks on the beach, meet and socialize with the friendly local people, discovering their ways and customs.

The lodge is Italian run and is a good lower cost option on the eastern coast.
