Zanzibar Palace Hotel is located right in the heart of Stone Town. It is independently owned and managed and an ideal place to explore and experience all the idiosyncrasies of this unique town.

Zanzibar Palace is a small, nine boutique room hotel housed in a tall thin house wrapped around a central atrium with just three rooms on each of its three floors.

Throughout the property, Zanzibar's rich history is integrated using Arabian, Indian and English designs, and each room has it's own style and name (with meaning) with many local antique pieces of furniture, Zanzibar beds, Persian rugs and colourful silks.  The clever use of design throughout gives the property a wonderful traditional and antique feel.

All of the rooms have Zanzibari beds, air-conditioning, ceiling fans, mosquito nets, TV and DVD player. The en suite bathrooms operate on high-pressure water with shower or bath tub and bathrobes.

The dining room (residents only) and separate bar is on the ground floor next to the reception, but the hotel does not push to F&B side of things although the breakfast, lunch and dinner are all of a good standard. 

The hotel is owner-managed with friendly and helpful staff.  It is this very positive atmosphere and approach which make it one of the most popular small hotels in Stone Town.  Definitely recommended.
