Selous Impala Camp is a really good mid-range and value for money option. A lovely location, set amongst Borassus palms and Tamarind Trees right on the banks of the Rufiji River.

The lounge and dining areas are beautifully situated on wooden decking and under thatch, with open sides looking out onto the steep banks of the river.
The bar area is located across a short walkway from the dining area. High chairs stand against a small bar made from an old mokoro (traditional fishing boat) whilst a few comfortable sofas with beautiful rustic-coloured cushions line the edge. There is a raised fireplace area near the bar where you can enjoy a sundowner in the evening.
There is a beautiful, crystal-clear swimming pool overlooking the river, - the perfect place to relax in the heat of the day between activities.
Relaxed, friendly and intimate with the perfect balance of comfort, service, indulgence and splendour.
The fly camp is prepared before guests leave Impala Camp by the fly camp team, in a location chosen on the shores of Lake Manze -arguably the most beautiful area in the photographic area of Selous. Guests are accompanied by the fly camp team, which consists of an armed ranger and two assistants. One of our excellent chefs also accompanies the expedition, providing a three course meal tailor-made to the guests’ wishes.
The fly-camp and walking safari experience is a unique opportunity to feel what it is to be in the wild on your own; to eat under the African night sky viewing stars unaffected by unnatural light, to hear the sounds of life around you while you lie in your bed before sleep, and to feel the excitement which accompanies the lonely sensation of vulnerability within the bush.
