The Royal Livingstone hotel is located on the northern bank of the Zambezi River, immediately upstream of where the Victoria Falls thunder into the Batoka Gorge.

The Royal Livingstone Hotel comprises 173 spacious en-suite guestrooms, each with its own private veranda, stretched along the river bank.
All guestrooms are furnished, with crisp white linen and large comfortable beds with modern facilities such as satellite TV. The ensuite bathrooms feature spacious showers and Victorian style baths, with wildlife pencil sketches adorning the ivory-washed walls.
The main public areas offer cool lounges and shaded verandas where you will encounter the elegance and luxury of an earlier age. The Royal Livingstone Dining Room is a mixture of modern sophistication and old-world style, offering a unique top-class breakfast and a dinner à la carte menu.
Light lunch is served “alfresco” on the veranda overlooking the rolling lawns and the Zambezi River whilst traditional High Tea is served daily. There is also a lovely sundeck overlooking the river which is perfect for sundowner drinks and a large swimming pool.
This is a large hotel but it does have it's own unique colonial character and charm. The major advantage of staying here is the close proximity to the Falls and more urban comforts sometimes required after time spent on safari elsewhere.
